The Friends for Friends executive board met on Oct 16, 2008 and approved the dispersal of funds totaling $2,500.00 for three families in need.
The first nomination was in the amount of $500.00 and went to assist a young woman with her college expenses. This area student, who 11 years ago buried her father and last month laid her mother to rest, is working tirelessly to finish her senior year and graduate in the spring.

The Friends for Friends Board met on March 27, 2008 and approved the dispersal of funds in the amount of $1,500 each for four families in need.
The first two nominations centered around two young boys who are waging very courageous battles against their respective neurological disorders...One boy is coping with the effects of cerebral palsy, and the other boy has been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis, a condition that produces numerous tumors on the bones, as well as throughout the nervous system and on the skin surface...
