Dear Friends,
While this year has brought many challenges and heartaches into our lives and those who we care about, I am proud to tell you that your generous spirit has helped to close out 2020 with Friends for Friends surpassing the two-million dollar mark in donations!
It was hard to imagine hitting such a milestone 25 years ago when we honored our friend, Al Patrone’s, dying wish to try to help our neighbors in need. But with a steadily growing membership of caring people wanting to help ease the pain of ‘friends we don’t know’ dealing with medical and financial hardship, we have arrived at this moment.
We recognize this quarter-century accomplishment with humble gratitude, and move forward with great energy to continue the good work done, thanks to your generosity.
To that end, your Friends for Friends Executive Team approved a nomination and donated $6,500 to the family of a man who received a heart transplant. This larger than normal FfF donation was partially funded by extra contributions from several members who know the family.
So as we begin our journey into 2021, please remember to renew your FfF dues. The price remains the same – $50 – and we encourage you to share this newsletter with your family and friends that they mighty consider joining our FfF family.
