As we all move forward with cautious optimism into the Summer of 2020, I wanted to update you on our Friends for Friends golf outing and the Daily Number Raffle.
Our golf outing, bumped back to August 7th, will be a COVID-19 casualty unless the restrictions on large indoor gatherings are lifted. We are monitoring the situation and will advise you as soon as a decision has been made.
But what is definitely a GO is FfF Daily Number Raffle set for Saturday, July 4th!
Plenty of tickets remain, and we need your help to make this summertime sweepstakes the necessary financial boost to help our neighbors in need.
The format is the same – we hope to sell 1,000 tickets, and the cost of each ticket is $10. If all the tickets are sold, the winner of the daily number on July 4th will receive $5,000. If we do not sell all of the tickets, the winner will receive half of the proceeds from the total number of tickets sold.
Please note, there will not be any physical tickets distributed for this drawing. We will assign you tickets numbers and email the numbers to you once we receive your check.
If we can get everyone to move a small block of ‘tickets’ in your respective network of family and friends, this will be a very profitable, and very rewarding, event.
Finally, despite the unprecedented physical, emotional, and financial hardship brought on by the pandemic, we have had several FfF members quietly come forward with large donations that have allowed us to help more people in our community. We are honoring their request for anonymity, but we do want to publicly recognize their tremendous spirit of giving.
