Giving Update: Putting Your Dollars to Work
Dear Friend,
I hope this note finds you well and ready for a warm and relaxing summer.
Your Friends for Friends Executive Board met recently and wasted little time in putting the proceeds from our successful FFF Golf outing to good work, approving donations for five nominations. Each recipient received $2,000.
The first two donations went to women who are battling stomach cancer and Stage 4 breast cancer, respectively. Both brave women are dealing with mounting medical bills and the loss of income while they undergo their respective cancer treatment regimens.
The third donation went to a young family whose husband/father suffered a fatal heart attack, leaving behind a wife and three daughters.
The fourth donation went to a young woman who had to have both of her legs amputated above the knees the result of a virulent case of strep throat and influenza that doctors were unable to get under control.
And our fifth donation went to a woman who is fighting a debilitating medical issue while raising two children on her own, one with neurological issues.
In addition to the financial assistance we offer on your behalf, we ask that you keep these five families, as well as all of our FFF donation recipients, in your hearts and in your prayers so they might all find the strength, patience and medical care to return to good health and a fulfilling life.
You can't have too many friends
In closing, I ask that you please continue to reach out to your family, friends, co-workers, etc., and encourage them to join our Friends for Friends network… As word of our collective good work spreads, the number of donation requests continues to steadily grow, so it is critical that we expand our dues paying membership list.
