2020 Summer Nominations

Friends for Friends Nominations

This past week, the FfF Executive Team met virtually and approved four nominations:

  • two families coping with the strain of fighting their respective cancer battles
  • a young girl who underwent a delicate brain operation
  • and a man with Parkinson’s recovering from a serious fall.

Each nomination received a check in the amount of $3,000. This kind charity is all thanks to the generous spirit of several members and the success of the July 4th Daily Number Raffle, which has helped to reduce the financial shortfall of the canceled FfF annual golf outing.

Upcoming Fundraisers

Currently the Executive Team is brainstorming creative ways to continue to help those dealing with hardship, while making the necessary concessions to the restrictions on gathering in large groups. So be on the lookout for more information on a virtual Trivia Night as details are finalized. 

And whether the virus is with us or not, Friends for Friends will again hold our November Daily Number Raffle with the drawing taking place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
